Free Genuine Fractals Reader Plug-In Available

Earlier this month, we announced the availability of a free plug-in for Photoshop CS and CS2 that will allow any user to open and view a Genuine Fractals file saved with the .STN file extension.

Ever since we acquired Genuine Fractals from Lizard Tech, we've had lots of requests from users to make a free reader available so that they could transfer .STN files to others, such as a printing or service bureau. Without a free reader, their GF files, which can become quite large, were essentially useless unless the receiving party had a full version of GF. This free plug-in addresses this problem.

One Genuine Fractals user in particular was instrumental in helping us get this out. Vincent Versace is a long-time user of Genuine Fractals and has his entire library of photographs saved as .STN files. We've been speaking with Vincent and he encouraged us to make this available for users like himself and we're happy to do so.

There's a great quote from Vincent in the press release. Be sure to check it out.
