Art of Photography - Call for Entries
I was speaking with Steven Churchill a few months back at PhotoPlus Expo in New York about an upcoming event that he is working on called the Art of Photography. Here's a quick blurb from Steven on the upcoming event. If you are a photographer and would like to have your work considered for the show, be sure to read on!
The Art of Photography Show 2006 is an international exhibition of photographic art which will take place April 20 - June 4, 2006 at the Lyceum Theatre, located in the historic Gaslamp Quarter of downtown San Diego. The Prospectus and entry details are available here. Arthur Ollman, the Director of the Museum Of Photographic Arts, is the Judge for this exhibition. $3,000 in Cash Awards will be given out. There will be a very nice Show Catalog, in which each artist in the show can have info about themselves and their photography business. Also, they're executing a massive marketing and publicity strategy in order to achieve substantial media attention and sales results for the Show's participants. Images created via any form of photography will be accepted for consideration (i.e. shot on film, shot digital, unaltered shots, alternative process, mixed media, digital manipulations, montages, etc.), so long as part of the image is photographically created.
