Adobe buys Pixmantec, Pixmantec RAW technology to show up in Adobe Lightroom

SAN JOSE, Calif. — June 26, 2006 — Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced it has acquired the technology assets of Pixmantec ApS, makers of digital imaging software that provides advanced workflow management and processing capabilities for digital camera RAW files. The acquisition strengthens Adobe's leadership position in RAW processing.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Mission Series

American Photo and Microsoft partnered last year to sponsor six photographers to go out and create entirely new bodies of work. The subject of their focus was volunteerism. Their goal was to document the spirit that drives people to work and sacrifice in order to improve the condition of others.
