I ran across this cool tutorial today over on the Lunacore site on how to add a depth mask. Check it out. It's a great trick.

On an interesting (at least for me) side note, Adrian Quan was the winner from last week's episode. It just so happens that Adrian lives right here in Portland! I met Adrian while working for another company and he did some freelance design for us. Very nice guy and talented as well. Congrats AQ!
I saw this post on the Lunacore site this morning. Pretty amazing work. Of course, I was expecting to see Bert Monroy's work on there and I wasn't disappointed. The fun side note is that I won (in an end-of-seminar drawing) a signed copy of Bert's "Oakland" illustration at a Photoshop Seminars event here in Portland last year.
Anybody out there going to Photoshop World in Las Vegas next month? If so, please stop by our booth (410) and say hello. We've got some great stuff planned for the show including a new T-Shirt that we'll be giving away so be sure to come by and get yours.
Elizabeth Carmel has just released her amazing new book "Brilliant Waters". I've seen a few of the images from the book and they are, in a word, stunning. I plan to pick up a copy of the book asap.
For anybody who has ever seen Vincent teach at Photoshop World, you know it's a session that you don't want to miss. In particular, his method for black and white conversion while staying in the RGB color space is something to see.
Here's the good news, if you can't make it to Photoshop World, you can now learn from Vincent directly in his new DVD tutorials. He's just released three lessons on DVD that are worth checking out. Here's more good news...as an onOne customer (or even just a casual reader of this blog), Vincent is offering a discount on his DVDs. Just go to this link and enter authorization code os7987.
