Photoshop World 2008 Las Vegas Recap
I'm back in the office from Photoshop World West 2008 in Las Vegas and what a show it was. About 3,000 of you attended the show making it one of the highest attended conferences so far. Thank you to everybody who stopped by our booth and said hello and purchased the Plug-In Suite 4. It's always great meet new people who share common passions (photography, Photoshop, etc) and I've got to say that of all the shows I go to, the people at Photoshop World are some of the friendliest out there!
One of the highlights of the trip for me happened outside of the conference and actually on the flight home. I got a free upgrade to First Class on my Alaska Air flight which is always nice but the highlight was getting to meet Megan Jendrick who is a U.S. Olympic Athlete on the Women's Swimming team. Megan won a couple of gold medals in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and won a silver medal in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Megan got a free upgrade to first class as well and was genuinely friendly with everybody who asked to take her picture and shared stories of the Olympics and what she is doing now. We should be proud to have someone like Megan representing the United States at international events like the Olympics.
I was sitting next to a friend from Wacom who wanted a picture of Megan and her Silver medal for his daughter who is a swimmer as well but his cell phone camera just wasn't cutting it so I loaned him my Canon G9 and he snapped this. I edited it a little in PhotoTools and added a frame from PhotoFrame as well.
