May 27, 2009 by Mike Wong • 14 Comments
For those of you who downloaded the PhotoTools 2 Lite installer and found that it didn't function for you properly, we have identified the issue and fixed it. If you download the installer again and then run the installer again, you'll be good to go.
Sorry for the inconvenience. To get the new, updated installer, please visit the PhotoTools 2 Lite product page.
Just to be on the safe side, make sure you delete the previous .dmg or .exe that you previously downloaded to make sure you install the update and not the old one on accident.

Today 05.28.09 I downloaded the latest version but the menu is gray again.
I use Photoshop CS4 on Windows XPSP3.
The PhotoTools_2_Lite.exe file into the ZIP is dated 19/05. Is it correct?
@Jim Brusciano:
Look for the installer dated 27/05. You’ll probably need to request the installer again from the PhotoTools 2 Lite product page here. Thanks!
I get the menu item grayed out too :/ only batch is un-grayed, I know it’s free and all, but come on LOL, I do have other OnOne Software programs too.
Nevermind, I got to work!! Thanks!!
The link I receive in the email points to:
http://www.ononesoftware.com/downloads/downloads_start.php?utm_nooverride=1&ref=ptoolslite_demo_email_init&prod=ptoolslite2w
The file that is downloaded is dated as: Tuesday, May 19, 2009, 1:16:18 PM
Over the last two days I have tried clean installs from two different computers, each time requesting a new file, using multiple browsers, cleared my cache several times, cleaned my registry, etc. For whatever reason I cannot get the file dated 27/05.
The result is no menu items being listed under the menu heading, only the link to the turorials.

I have tried to re-install plug ins twice and can not get them to work with either CS4 or LR2. Can any one tell me how they managed to get it to work? I’m on Mac OS 10.5.6
@Debra:
PhotoTools 2 Lite doesn’t work within Lightroom. For that you need PhotoTools 2 Professional Edition. As for getting it to work, it’s hard to know why it’s not showing up. Try quitting CS4, download the installer for PT2 Lite again, run the latest one you downloaded and then start CS4 again.
I have just downloaded the Photo Tools 2 Lite and then opened up CS4 and do not see any sign of onOne Software or the Photo Tools 2 Lite? Does anyone know where you can locate it in CS4? I can see the dlls for the Photo Tools 2 lite under the directory files – Plug-ins, but am not able to actually find it in CS4. I have tried to close CS4 and re-download, still do not see it… any help would be great!
My issue is identical to Amanda’s. I downloaded Photo Tools 2 Lite today, installed it to run on my Windows XPSP3 computer…and when I open Photoshop CS4 there’s no sign of the new plug-in program. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, redownloaded and restarted the computer. Anyone know what’s up?
i am having no success downloading from this link
thanks for your help

I’ve unintstalled (making sure there were no traces
of the program) re installed several times!! still not showing up
looked under ‘File’ – ‘Automate’ and no sign of it anywhere else in CS3
the files are there in the installation folder!!
If you are having problems seeing PhotoTools 2 Lite show up in your menus in Photoshop, read this Knowledge Base article.
Also, you’ll want to be sure to download and run these two updates from Microsoft.
