I'm a pro photographer (haven't bought the app but considering it.) What I do is mostly event and street photography where I go out on the street and take people's pictures at famous locations and then sell them the digital images as souveniers. Obviously I can't get my hands on a wireless network (unless I create it myself) and I really have little need to control the camera from the phone (since I roam around alot.) What I'm really looking for is a way to take a picture on my camera (I can do this already) and then transfer it to my iPhone or iPad so I can email it to my customers on the spot (Would save on the paperwork involved with associating what picture goes with what email etc.) I know my situation is unique but I would imagine many people would love a way to get pictures straight from the camera to the phone or tablet without wifi or a computer. If I had to buy cables, transmitter's, etc. I would be okay with that, as long as I could take the picture and get it on my phone or iPad without having to go to a computer or take out my mem card. I don't know if this is a functionality you could include but it would rock. Thanks!

@Raphael - I'm sorry, but we do not have any plans to support the Olympus line of cameras or any other cameras other than Canon and Nikon at this time.

I'm also patiently waiting for you to support Olympus DSLR cameras that are as great as Canon and Nikon. Any hope for this in a near future? I'll buy it immediately.

@chris - a computer running the DSLR camera remote server is required. The wireless transmitter can replace the USB cable but you still need the computer.

Best,
Mike

Thank you.

Just found this app on the Appstore - disappointed to say the least to find there is no Sony Alpha support.

Are there any plans to support the Sony system? Would love to try this out with the A900

Thanks,

it's a great idea as a pioneer in app store, but don't you guys think that £12 for the full version is a high price to pay? given all the noncompetability complaints (i have personally experienced this with my canon 500d) perhaps consider cutting the price.

are there any updates planned? such as to fix the AF issues?

Referring to my previous post....

OK, I don't know why it matters, but upgrading to 1.3 fixed the problem.

Thanks,
Brad

I have a strange situation that I'm hoping someone can shed some light on.

---
Macbook Pro (Late 2008 - intel)- DSLR Server 1.1 - OS X 10.6.2 8gb
Two cameras (Canon 30D & Nikon D700) Everything works perfectly. - YAY!
---
Macbook (Early 2007 - intel) - DSLR Server 1.1 - OS X 10.6.2 8gb
Canon 30D works perfectly - YAY!
Nikon D700 doesn't get recognized by the DSLR server software, just simply says: (Camera: No Camera Detected) as if the camera is unpluged- Boo!!!
---

The Nikon D700 works in iPhoto, get's recognized in System Profiler and like I said above, works fine on the Macbook Pro.

Here's what I tried:

I updated the Nikon Firmware to the latest (again, doubt it that, works on MBP)

I reinstalled OS X 10.6.2 Combo Update

I made a new user account and tried it under that.

Swapped out USB cable, Tried both USB ports, camera battery, with or without a CF card, computer on power cord and battery. (some silly and desperate, I know...)

Made sure there were no other camera control operations running in Activity Monitor, but then I doubt it as we've really only used iPhoto, Lightroom and at one point Aperture on this machine.

Can anyone think of anything else I can try or should I put in a new hard drive and really start from scratch? Ugh.

Here is a list of the processing running on the machine:

kernel_task
mds
WindowServer
kextd
Finder
Dock
Activity Monitor
SystemUIServer
coreservicesd
loginwindow

securityd
coreaudiod
LMILaunchAgentFixer
boxeeservice
krb5kdc
fseventsd
AirPort Base Station Agent
diskarbitrationd
ntpd
activitymonitord
distnoted
usbmuxd
launchd
KernelEventAgent
launchd
hidd
autofsd
cvmsServ
pboard
syslogd

notifyd

Thanks,
Brad

I apologize for the LONG post and if this isn't the proper place to find an answer to this...
