To respond to all of the recent comments about troubleshooting the Server Software running on various computers, we've compiled a list of troubleshooting items for you. These steps are outlined on a new page so they'll be easier to find than a traditional blog post.

What about adapting the DSLR Remote app to work direct with the camera? A basic viewer with shutter and zoom control would be a start, the pics could be either downloaded or left on the camera for later download.
I do a lot of elevated photography and always need to have a laptop tethered to the Canon G10, having a iPod on the end of the tether would be way more convenient.
