I wanted to get back to everybody on the status of the Photoshop CS5 compatibility updates we’re working on. Earlier, we had said mid-May and that’s what we’ve been working very hard to get to. However, we’re not going to hit the mid-May goal that we had set for ourselves to release all of our products as CS5 compatible. Right now, at this moment, I’d say it would be closer to the end of May before these updates are available {1}. We’re getting closer, but we’re not quite there yet.
The long and short of why we’re not going to have the CS5 compatibility updates out when we initially said is because we’ve run into some bigger than expected issues converting a couple of the plug-ins over from being 32-bit to being 64-bit compatible. Some were easier than others (though our engineers would tell me that none of this work was “easy”) but some are taking longer than we initially thought. We want to make sure we get the updates done correctly and that the quality level meets the standards you expect. Getting these free compatibility updates out is our number 1 priority right now and is all we are (and have been for quite some time) working on.
In the past, we’ve rolled all of the plug-ins out at once for something like this. Right now, I think we’ll be rolling out Genuine Fractals 6.0.5 out first (early next week) with the rest following by the end of the month. Stay tuned for more info on releases.
I apologize for the delay but we’re working as hard and fast as we can to get the updates out to those of you who have already upgraded or will be upgrading soon to Photoshop CS5.

Hi Mike,
I have now a break to dig deep into the CS 5. Look forward to the upgrades of the great OnOne software.
Just finished rapping up after a rocking workshop with Seth Resnick.
Video interview with Eric Meola who tagged along on our website within couple of days.
Bud Coopers, participants testimony:
“Focus on Nature is owned and operated by Einar Erlendsson, who knows how to get things done in Iceland. He can do, find or get anything. His organizational skills were matched or surpassed only by Ragnar Th Sigurdsson’s knowing when and where to be to get the best shot and by Seth Resnick’s unbounded knowledge, energy and enthusiasm for photography and his passion for teaching others everything he knows. Add to that mix the privilege of shooting alongside of and learning from the great Eric Meola and you have a truly phenomenal workshop. It was absolutely great. Let’s do it again!”

I purchased the Plug-in Suite 5 from an authorized reseller with the promise that it would be compatible with PS CS5 soon enough…At the moment, I had already deleted my CS4 version, so I don’t even know how on one software works…C’mon guys, let us know for sure when the upgrade is coming. Best,

Sorry, OnOnebut this is not a professionnel approach.
Yes – you might have been delayed by unforeseen technical problems. That is understandable… But it is not understandable, that you do not take your customers seriously enough to provide us with an update when the deadline you set up yourself has been passed.
I do not ask you to release a product that is not ready – that would truly be wasting everybody’s time. Just tell us is the update, hours, days, weeks or months away?
Best,
Karen Madsen

A comment on the first blog article indicated that the CS5 updates were being uploaded onto the servers and should be ready for download later today. Hopefully true!
