For years, you have been able to access our plug-ins for Photoshop from the onOne menu, a menu that we created and then inserted into Photoshop’s menu bar between the Window and Help menu items. The method that was available to us for many years is no longer available in Photoshop CS5 {1}.
So for many of you who have just updated to the Photoshop CS5 compatible versions of our plug-ins, you don’t see the onOne menu that you are so accustomed to seeing and you’re wondering “how do I access my plug-ins?”. A quick trip to the Filter menu shows nothing from onOne. That’s because, technically, our plug-ins are not filters.
Where you will find them is under the File > Automate menu. What? Where? Why? The reason is that beginning in Photoshop CS4 {2} most of our products were converted over to Automation plug-ins so that they could be used in a batch process or as part of an action.
Starting in Photoshop CS4, we knew that eventually we’d no longer be able to use the beloved onOne menu so we took advantage of the new panels that Adobe introduced in the CS4 release. The new onOne panel gives you all the functionality of the older onOne menu. But how do you get to it? In Photoshop, go to the Window menu and then to Extensions. There, you’ll see onOne. Select onOne from the Window > Extensions menu and you’ll get the new onOne panel. The onOne panel can be docked along with any of the other panels in Photoshop so you can customize your workspace.
So now you have two options, either the onOne panel or the File > Automate menu. Good luck! If you’d like to see a video of this, Dan Harlacher, our senior product manager recorded one to show you how to access the onOne panel.

Hi!
I love you guys but I had quite a bit of confusion with this update. I even re-downloaded (not a small task) and re-installed. My problem is I could not find the plug-ins after installation. It took a trip to the forum AND here to the blog to find out how to find the plug-ins and how to find the Panel. There were no mentions of these changes in either the nice email you sent me notifying me of the Update for CS5 or on the Software Updates download page, nor was there a Read Me file with the download. So I was lost and in a panic. There were also no notes about the loss of custom frames so I am SOL there.
Please put this info at least on the download Software Updates page for future customers. Just a suggestion.
THANKS for the updates! Love them!

Hi OnOne,
I have a similar issue. I can find my PhotoTools 2.5 under File> Automate, but they do not appear in the Windows> extension tab. I can not find an OnOne menu anywhere else.
What do you suggest?

I had figured out how to locate it, but I thought that I had lost it in the Menu Bar because I was choosing to run CS5 in 32 bit (all plug-ins are not as User appropriate as is onOne).

How about just putting it back on the menu. What about keeping the customer happy. Its not all about what the developers like or think is cool… listen to the customer; after all, we are your paycheck!

I’m a newbie on the Mac and need some help. I have CS4 and purchased CS5. How do I get my plug-ins from CS4 to CS5? Thanks for your help!

I found the onOne panel under Windows > Extensions but the panel is empty as well and shows exactly how Andrew showed it. Can someone tell me what the issue is? Thanks
