Catching Up - A Hodge Podge of Information
Posted on August 18, 2010
First of all, I apologize for not having posted anything here or getting back to any comments recently. It's been a very crazy past couple of months. Enough of that though, let me try to catch you up with what we've been up to.
DSLR CAMERA REMOTE UPDATE
We have a fairly big release in the works although, it will probably be released as a version 1.4 update. In that update, we were planning on putting in the support for the Canon T2i that many of you have been asking for. However, the 1.4 update is taking longer than I'd like so I've asked our development team to release a 1.3.1 update that adds support for the T2i.
The release should only affect the DSLR Camera Remote Server application and not the iPhone app. This means we won't have to submit the application to the iTunes App Store team for approval but rather we can release it directly to you once we've completed testing. At the risk of putting a date out that could potentially slip, here goes...If all goes well, we should have the 1.3.1 update available by September 1.
As for the 1.4 release we're working on, stay tuned. I'll have more details on that in the next couple of weeks.
PLUG-IN SUITE 5.1.1 UPDATE
Regarding the Plug-In Suite 5.1 release that we put out as a free update a while back that added support for Photoshop CS5 and 64-bit compatibility, we heard from many of you that there we issues with FocalPoint and PhotoTools not displaying results correctly. There was a Mask Pro issue when trying to launch and there were some reports of the onOne Panel (where you now access the plug-ins via the Window > Extensions menu) not working correctly.
After lots of testing on a wide variety of system configurations, we narrowed down the source(s) of the problems and have the Plug-in Suite 5.1.1 update available now for you to download [Mac OS X Download | Windows Download]. These updates are only for Plug-In Suite 5.1 users.
ADDITIONAL PRODUCT UPDATES
Now, if you're using one of the individual products instead of the Plug-In Suite 5.1, we have updates available for you as well. For your updating convenience, here are the download links. Alternately, you can visit our Software Updates page.

WE'VE MOVED TO A NEW OFFICE
We recently celebrated our 5th year in business (which we couldn't do without you, so thank you!). For the first 2.5 years, we were in a relatively small space around 1700 square feet. For the past 2.5 years, we were in a space just down the hall that was about 3400 square feet. At first it was great having the extra space but before we knew it, we had out grown it and had the majority of our onOne team members sharing offices, desks stacked up in hallways and literally, for one of our engineers, sitting right outside the bathroom door. Enough was enough.
We just moved across the street from our last office into a new space that is just over 11,000 square feet. Talk about an upgrade! We've got a dedicated recording studio now so we can record higher quality product tutorials and record the webinars that have become so popular lately. We even built out a photo studio (though much of the equipment is still on back order) so we can record tutorials on studio shooting techniques as well. I'll post some pictures of the new space in a week or so as we're still putting the finishing touches on it.
Part of the move included a completely new phone system which will also improve our customer service and technical support teams as well. It should be much easier to reach us via phone if you need to! The phone numbers and email addresses haven't changed, but if you want to have our new mailing address here it is.

That about covers all of the big things that I think you're most interested in. Again, I apologize for the delay in communicating this information. Thanks for your patience and sticking with all of us.
