Focus On Imaging Wrap Up

Back in early March (the 7-10th to be exact), our UK office was at the annual Focus on Imaging show in Birmingham, England. The four day show attracts both professional and enthusiast photographers from all across Europe. I’m told that this show was the biggest ever with over 200 exhibitors and over 37,300 attendees.

In the onOne Software stand (we call them booths over here in the U.S.) our U.K. team led by Bob Campbell mixed things up a bit this year and converted part of the space to be a mini photo studio. Award-winning fashion and beauty photographer Andy Kruczek (you can see some of his work in our Pro Corner) was on hand each day in the “onOne Studio” along with Doug Campbell. Together, they showed some practical applications of using onOne Software products in conjunction with a live shoot.

onOne Event at B&H Photo with Jack Reznicki

If you are in the New York City area, you might be interested in an event that onOne Software will be doing at the B&H Photo Superstore. Our very own Brian Kraft will be there to demonstrate all of the new features that are included in our latest Plug-In Suite 5. He’ll show you how you can use Mask Pro, Genuine Fractals, PhotoTools Professional Edition, PhotoFrame Professional Edition, PhotoTune and FocalPoint to get in and out of Photoshop as fast as possible.

Before Brian’s presentation, New York based photographer Jack Reznicki will present a slideshow of examples where the onOne plug-ins have helped him create better results while saving valuable time in his studio. If you’re not already familiar with Jack, he is a commercial people and children photographer based in New York City. His creative problem solving has helped promote products and services for many companies such as Tylenol, The Wall Street Journal, Hyatt, Toys “R” Us, Kodak, Reader’s Digest, Crest, AT&T, Playtex, and several Time Magazine covers.

Stock Photography Workshop

My good friend Joe Drivas just let me know about a Stock Photography workshop that he is leading on February 19th and 20th at Harmon’s School of Photography.

The 1 and a half day Stock Photography workshop will be led by Joe himself. Joe is one of the leading stock photographers in the United States and his work is represented and licensed worldwide through Getty Images, Iconica, Stone and Photographer’s Choice collections.

Joe will be providing an overview of the stock photography industry and detail  his unique and successful approach to being a highly competitive stock photographer. He will cover his software workflow, his approach to image metadata, and archival methods for quick retrieval. Also, he is going to discuss model and property releases, and describe what gear to bring to the shoot.

The cost for the event is only $250. A pretty good deal to learn from one of the best in the business. For more information be sure to visit the Harmon’s School of Photography web site.
