You are invited to join onOne Software and award winning photographer and Canon Explorer of Light, Ken Sklute, for the 2012 WPPI Photo Ride! I hope that you will have time to join us on Thursday, February 23, 2012, the closing day of the convention. We will depart the MGM Grand Hotel at 9:00AM and after signing out both bikes and helmets, we will journey north to the beautiful Valley of Fire State Park, about an hour north of the strip. We will eat lunch in the park and have a ton of  fun at our stops!

Ken has found a motocycle rental company that can accommodate us with a wide variety of motorcycles to fit most tastes including trikes, a three wheeled bike of sorts that does not require a separate motorcycle license. The Trike normally rents for $250/day, but we were able to negotiate a special rate of $199.00/day. Ken has also negotiated a rental of $89.90/day for most two wheelers.  The rental includes a helmet (necessary in Nevada), unlimited mileage and the shiny new bike! You bring goggles, leathers, boots, gloves, cameras and the fun!

We are planning to return to the hotel sometime between 4:30PM and 5:30PM We are asking for a $25.00 deposit to hold your spot on the trip. Your payment will go towards a boxed lunch, refreshments and a commemorative t-shirt.

Modifying Light - Date: August 13, 2011 - 9:30AM - 5:00PM

Renowned award winning photographer, Stacy Pearsall, will be giving a one-day workshop on light modification to enhance daily photography. This workshop will cover ambient light, diffusers, reflectors, small flash and studio flash. Stacy will discuss and demonstrate how to read and modify light. She’ll show how to properly use various soft boxes, diffusers and reflectors to obtain specific looks.

Stacy will provide hands-on instruction as she works through each lighting scenario with a live model. Students will have an opportunity to set-up and shoot each lighting scenario as the workshop progresses.

For students who do not have their own specialty lighting equipment needed to complete the scenario, Stacy will make her own gear available.

Posing 101 - Date: August 13, 2011 - 9:30AM - 5:00PM

Posing plays an essential role in the success of a portrait session. Take it from a pro, a woman's shape and a man's form can be manipulated a thousand ways to convey several messages. During this workshop, we'll use a live model to pose and photograph. Each student will have an opportunity to set up the model in a pose, direct and shoot. Renowned award winning photographer, Stacy Pearsall, will be there to guide and teach posing techniques while overseeing each student's posing session.

Beautification: Photoshop Tips For Portraits - Date: September 17, 2010 - 9:30AM - 12:00PM

During this lecture, renown award winning photographer, Stacy Pearsall, will teach special techniques to enhance portraits using Photoshop CS5. Stacy will demonstrate methods of blemish removal, skin smoothing, eye color enhancement and more. She will give step-by-step instructions on how to create signature actions that can be applied to multiple photographs, thus establishing you "signature look" as a photographer.

Cyprus Gardens Walk-a-bout Workshop - Date: September 14, 2011 - 3:00PM - 5:00PM

Charleston Walk-A-Bout - Date: September 24, 2011 - 4:00PM - 6:00PM
