April-May Photo Contest

It’s time to get our April-May photo contest going! This month’s theme is one of my personal subjects to photograph – clouds. Dark clouds. Light clouds. Clouds at sunrise. Clouds at sunset. Keep an eye out over the next 4 weeks for clouds and capture your best shot and submit your photo by adding it to the onOne Group on Flickr. Be sure to tag your photo “onOne-2010-05” so we can find it and consider it for the contest.

One new thing in this contest is that I’d like to ask that the photo you submit be one that is taken after today’s date of April 15, 2010. For this one, no digging through your archives. Go out, have some fun and shoot something new!

onOne Plug-ins and Photoshop CS5

As I suspect most, if not all, of you read somewhere yesterday that Adobe has officially announced the upcoming availability of Photoshop CS5. There was an announcement back at Photoshop World and there have been lots of tidbits mentioned here and there on YouTube and Adobe Labs, but until today, third-party developers such as onOne Software were not allowed to talk about Photoshop Cs5 as part of our developer agreements and NDAs (non-disclosure agreements).

But now that the embargo has passed, we can now talk about Photoshop CS5 and how it will impact our plug-ins here at onOne Software. In fact, we issued a press release this morning all about it, but there’s even more information here…

onOne Pro Webinar Series featuring Kersti Malvre

UPDATE: The webinar is scheduled for April 19, 2010 not April 21st as originally posted. I apologize for any inconvenience.

As many of you know, we recently fired up our Webinars again and as part of commitment to provide you with excellent training through our onOne University, we’re starting a new series of webinars called the onOne Pro Webinar Series. As part of this new Pro Webinar Series, each month we’ll be featuring a professional photographer who is using onOne Software products in their work to improve their workflow or differentiate themselves or just have fun.

This month, on April 19, 2010, we’re honored to have professional photographer Kersti Malvre be a part of our very first Pro Webinar Series. In the webinar, using PhotoFrame 4.5, Kersti will show simple and quick techniques that can immediately add impact to an image and she will also demonstrate more sophisticated customization of backgrounds, frames and adornments to dramatically transform an image or create a stunning layout.
