There were some fantastic photo entries in our September photo contest and fortunately, we said there would be two winners. I had a hard time narrowing the entries down and in the end called in a couple of others here from onOne to help me. Please note, even if you submitted an image and it didn’t show up in the comments, I still saw it. There were several photos that were successfully uploaded to our blog server that for some reason didn’t show up in the comments (I’m looking into a solution for that next time) and all of these were taken into consideration as well.
Our two winners for September are Ozzie Ciliberti for his photo The Bicycle, Badolato, Italy and Chris Henricks for his photo of hiking at Lake O’hara in Yoho National Park, British Columbia.

I’m about to get on my flight from Portland to Las Vegas for Photoshop World, but wanted to let you know that I’ll be posting here and on my Twitter account as soon as we have fixes posted for Snow Leopard related crashes and for the DSLR Camera Remote Server version 1.2.
As soon as both are available, I will post here and on Twitter.

If you are thinking about getting DSLR Camera Remote for the iPhone or iPod Touch but haven’t made a decision yet, here’s a good review from Australia iPhone.
Before I used DSLR Camera Remote, I was concerned that there was going to be a bit of a delay between tapping fire and my camera actually snapping the shot as this would be a major problem when shooting subjects like children or pets. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there is no noticeable delay.

For the most part, we spend the majority of our time developing plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop (and recently Photoshop Lightroom and Apple Aperture). But as some of you know, we also have a collection of plug-ins for Photoshop Elements as well that are based on the pro versions of our products.
I’m pleased to share with you that today, we have announced a major upgrade to our Essentials product line with Photo Essentials 3. This new version is slated for release in mid to late October and will be compatible with the recently announced Photoshop Elements 8 for Mac & Windows.

Just a quick update to let you know where we are with our fixes for Snow Leopard. One of our engineers has been working on this all last week and we’ve been talking to our activation service provider and they’ve been helpful as well. I was given an internal test build of Plug-In Suite 4.5.2 the other day that should addresses the problem of Photoshop crashing on quitting and the activation issues.
So far, in 2 days of testing on my MacBook Pro, the problems have not been showing up. All of my plug-ins activate the way they should and I don’t get activation error messages. When I quit Photoshop, it quits without crashing.
We need to do some more testing, but it’s looking good at this point. Stay tuned for more. We’ve sent out the Suite 4.5.2 candidate build out to a few customers to get some more testing “out in the wild” on other systems than just ours so we need to gather that feedback as well.
As soon as we have confirmed this and get it posted, I will let you know. In the meantime, thank you for your patience.
