Plug-In Suite 4.2 Now Available with Genuine Fractals 6

The Plug-In Suite 4.2 is now available for download and purchase directly from our main site. If you already own the Plug-In Suite 4.0 or 4.1, you can download the Plug-In Suite 4.2 update as a free update. Included in the update are a few fixes for PhotoFrame 4 Professional Edition and a completely new version of Genuine Fractals 6 Professional Edition (previously this would have been under the Print Pro moniker).

So if you already own a copy of the Plug-In Suite 4, here's how you can get the Plug-In Suite 4.2 update.

Create your own textures for PhotoFrame 4

Ever since I posted a new texture of some tree bark for PhotoFrame, I've had a lot of requests from people asking how they can create their own textures. This tutorial explains how to do just that!

There are two kinds of textures (and frames for that matter) that PhotoFrame recognizes. There are grayscale textures and there are RGB textures. RGB textures are also sometimes referred to as "realistic" textures. RGB textures can be great as backgrounds as well. First I'll go over how you create a grayscale texture.

FocalPoint 1 awarded PC Photo 2009 Editors' Choice

You know 2009 is just around the corner when the December 2008 edition of PC Photo Magazine lists their 2009 Editors' Choice award winners. I was very excited to see as I read this issue that FocalPoint 1 received an Editors' Choice award. PhotoFrame 3 received a similar award back at the end of 2006 for the 2007 awards so we're excited to have another product recognized.

Genuine Fractals 6 & PhotoTools 2

Earlier today, I sent out an eNewsletter about lots of news going on here at onOne. One story that has generated lots of email and phone calls is I wasn't clear that Genuine Fractals 6 and PhotoTools 2 are NOT shipping yet, but only announced.

Please note, Genuine Fractals 6 (standard and professional editions) are scheduled to ship around the end of November or the first week in December depending on how fast we can get disks back from our CD replicator.

PhotoTools 2 (standard and professional edition) won't be shipping until late January 2009.

I apologize for any confusion the eNews may have caused.
