Many of you already know or have seen Dave Cross teach a class at Photoshop World or at one of the hundreds of Kelby Training Live events around the U.S. and Canada over the years. Recently, Dave decided to return to his roots of education and open his very own Education Center in Tampa, FL. You'll still see Dave on tour with the Kelby Training events and at Photoshop World conferences, but now, you'll have the opportunity to attend a workshop from Dave year round!

The annual Imaging USA show put on by the Professional Photographers of America is just around the corner and several of us here are getting ready to head to San Antonio, TX. In case any of you reading this are going to be at the Imaging USA show next week, I wanted to let you know about some exciting guest speakers and a photo walk that we're going to do at the show.
We're putting together a fantastic FREE Photo Walk led by professional photographer and Imaging USA instructor, Eric J. Anundi. He'll share tips and tricks on how to get the most out of outdoor portrait photography.
The event will take place on Monday, January 17th from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. We'll meet in the lobby near the Market Street entrance of the Convention Center at 12:30 pm. From there, we will walk along the River Walk where Eric will demonstrate techniques to get amazing portrait photos.
Registration is free and easy - but limited to the first 20 photographers. Sign up at http://ononeiusa.eventbrite.com

Dave Cross just sent me an excerpt from a recent episode of D-Town TV where he did a quick review of our DSLR Camera Remote application for the iPhone and iPod Touch (it does work on the iPad as well).
As Dave points out in his video, he found the DSLR Camera Remote very useful on a recent studio shoot he did where, like many of us, he didn't have an assistant so it was up to him to manage the lighting, do the test shoots and position the model all by himself.
Check out the video below where he recreated the shoot for D-Town TV.

It's that time of the month where we kick off our increasingly popular onOne Photo Contest. Last month's contest was our biggest yet and I'm hoping to top it here in June. The photo contest theme this month is Red. Your photo subject can be anything you'd like as long as the predominant theme, object or subject matter is red. Our guest judge for our June photo contest is going to be none other than Dave Cross from Photoshop User TV.
