Canvas gallery wraps are quite popular these days. I think every photography trade show that I've been to this year has had at least 3 different companies exhibiting who specialize only in canvas gallery wraps - not to mention other printers like Mpix.com who offer canvas gallery wraps.
These print service providers are great if you don't have a large format printer or if you don't want to bother with putting the wrap together yourself. But if you do and are perhaps interested in how you might do this, onOne's very own Dan Harlacher has put together a 30 minute video that shows you how you can prepare your image using Genuine Fractals 6 for a canvas gallery wrap and then shows you the process that he goes through to make the wrap. You'll see the proper print settings, assembling the wooden frame and stretching the canvas.
Check it out, it's completely free and available to watch in the onOne University.

What a great event we had down in Las Vegas last week for the 2010 WPPI Conference and Expo. Between the expo itself and all of the craziness that surrounds a show in Vegas, I'm just recovering now from the show. We also went out for a shoot in Red Rocks after the show and I'll be posting some of my pictures later after I get a chance to sit down and sort through them.
In the meantime, I wanted to thank everybody who stopped by our booth to say hello. The best part about a show like this is getting to meet the people who are using our products. I always love to hear how people are using the products because often times, it is in a way that is different than what we might have originally thought - which then gives us better feedback and more ideas on how to improve something. At WPPI this year, Patrick Smith, our Customer Service and Sales Manager was with us and he brought along a Flip Mino HD video recorder. As people came up to us at the show, Patrick asked if he could take a short video of them and to tell him about what they thought of onOne Software.
As you'll see from the video, people had a lot of great things to say and all I can tell you is that it has energized our entire office to serve you better from all areas. Whether it is in customer service, tech support, sales, marketing or development, all of us at onOne are humbled by the kind words and are more determined than ever to continue to provide you with the product, service and support you have come to expect from us at onOne.
Shot using a Flip Mino HD on the floor of WPPI 2010 in Las Vegas. These are all real users who stopped by to tell us what they thought about onOne.

One of the guys I work with here at onOne just posted a link to this video on his Facebook page and I thought it was so cool that I wanted to share it with you here. Very creative and very well done. The music is fantastic. Check it out.

I recently picked up a new toy - the Canon EF 135mm f/2L lens. My good buddy Rick had loaned me his for a weekend a while back and ever since I've been lusting after it and wanting to get my own. And now that I do, I find myself wanting to shoot in more low light situations where I might have avoided them in the past.
So last night as the sun was setting, I went outside with my 5D Mark II, the 135mm f/2L and my tripod and shot some photos along with this short little video. Nothing fancy. Just having a little fun with the depth of field and thought I'd share it with you here.
Nothing fancy. Just a fun depth-of-field experiment with my Canon 5D Mark II and my new Canon EF 135mm f/2L lens that I just bought.
Shot at 9:15 pm. ISO at 3200. Aperture priority mode set at f/2.

I was just looking through some of the photos in the onOne Flickr Group and the onOne Exchange Flickr Group and wanted to remind everybody about using presets in PhotoTools. Presets are a great way for you to streamline your photo editing workflow and this video by senior product manager Dan Harlacher shows you how to use them and how you can share the ones you create on the onOne Exchange.
