When shooting to the computer and camera the file names are just 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, etc. on a Canon 5D.
Unfortunately the basic file name is the only name the Canon SDK generates on the 5D. At this time there isn’t a workaround, you will need to verify that the folder where pictures are saved to is empty prior to shooting to ensure you do not over-write files.
