Why is the Essentials palette not showing in Photoshop Elements?
The first thing to do is to make sure that the product actually got installed. There is a video included below which includes instructions for accessing the product once it has been installed.
Windows Instructions:
- Please close Adobe Photoshop Elements
- Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements (installed version)\Plug-Ins
- You should have a folder in here called onOne Essentials. If you do, open Adobe Photoshop Elements again
- Go to the Edit menu, select Preferences, and then select Plug-Ins & Scratch Disks. In the window that comes up click on the option for an additional Plug-Ins folder. A browse for plug-ins window should come up
- In this window you will want to go to the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 5 (or 6, 7, 8, 9) folder and then click once on the Plug-Ins folder
- Then click on the OK button, then click OK on the Preferences
- Restart Adobe Photoshop Elements
- You should now be able to access Automation Tools and select onOne Essentials Palette
Mac Instructions:
- Please close Adobe Photoshop Elements
- Go to HD\Applications\AdobePhotoshopElements (installed version)\Plugins
- You should have a folder in here called onOne Essentials. If you do, open Adobe Photoshop Elements again
- Go to the Edit menu, select Preferences, and then select Plug-Ins & Scratch Disks. In the window that comes up click on the option for an additional Plug-Ins folder. A browse for plug-ins window should come up
- In this window you will want to go to the HD\Applications\AdobePhotoshopElements (installed version) folder and then click once on the Plug-Ins folder
- Then click on the OK button, then click OK on the Preferences
- Restart Adobe Photoshop Elements
- You should now be able to access Automation Tools and select onOne Essentials Palette
