How can I import my own files to the “Browse Backgrounds” folders?

To import your own files into “Browse Backgrounds” folders, you can place any of your compatible images into the following locations.

Macintosh:
HD/Library/Applications Support/onOne Software/Perfect Mask/Backgrounds

Windows:
(C:)/ProgramData/onOne Software/Perfect Mask/Backgrounds

I receive error “Maximum number of Licensed Users exceeded (-25)”

This error indicates the product is being run on remote computer, such as over Remote Desktop or on a Citrix Server. This is currently not supported. This would allow a user to set up the remote terminal as a server, and let as many computers as they wish run the product remotely on that computer–effectively letting numerous users run the product without activating it.

The onOne panel is empty in Adobe Photoshop CS6

If you are using Perfect Photo Suite 6.1 with Adobe Photoshop CS6 and the onOne panel is empty, please use the following instructions to resolve this issue.

Note: If you do not use the onOne panel, you will still be able to access the onOne product through the File>Automate menu in Photoshops CS6.

Please delete the “onOne Palette Config” file in the following location.

Macintosh:
/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Plug-ins/Panels/onOne Palette/

Windows:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\Panels\onOne\

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Plug-ins\Panels\onOne\

Once this has been done, please download the new “onOne Pallete Config.txt” file located here and put this file into one of the locations below. You will want to make sure to put the .txt file in the location below (this requires that you extract the .zip file before placing into the location below).

Which performance settings should be used with Perfect Photo Suite 6.1?

Memory Usage: Specifies the amount of system memory (RAM) that is used by the application. The default 50% will work well on systems with 4-8 GB of RAM. If you only have more than 8 GB of RAM and you work with large images you can try a larger setting.
VRAM Usage: Specifies the amount of video memory (VRAM) that is used by the application. The default 50% will work well on systems with more than 256MB of VRAM. If you only have 256MB, try a higher setting of 70%.
Segmented Brush Undo: When enabled, the last brush stroke made is segmented into many smaller strokes allowing you to undo a portion of a segment rather than an entire segment. This is off by default to reduce the amount of memory used for storing undo operations.

Note: We recommend using the default settings.

Will the current products run on Windows XP 32 bit?

For Windows XP 32 bit users the minimum system requirements are for 4 GB of RAM. This operating system (Windows XP 32 bit) can only access 2 GB of RAM at a time. This may not provide an optimal experience especially with large digital images. Please read this article for more information.

I am receiving the following error: “Could not write to the preference file. The disk may be full. You will not be able to save or load the settings” ( Windows only)

This error indicates your “user account” has unsupported characters. You will need to create a new user account with English only letters. Then install the product again to resolve the issue.

Will the Photoshop CS6 compatibility update be free?

It is our policy to make non-major releases of our software available to registered users of the most recent product at no cost (as a downloadable update).

The list below is our currently shipping products which are eligible for our free compatibility update for Photoshop CS6. We have included the software update links below for each product as we have not seen major issues when running these with Photoshop CS6. Please use these latest updates in order to run your onOne product with Photoshop CS6.

Note: If you have installed CS6 on the same system as your onOne Software product and the onOne product does not appear, please make sure to install the latest version of your onOne Software product in order for it to appear in CS6.

Older products such as the Plug-In Suite 5.5 are not eligible for a free compatibility upgrade with Photoshop CS6. For further clarification, we have no plans to update PhotoTune to be compatible with Photoshop CS6.

How to install onOne presets into Lightroom 4

Here are the installation instructions for installing presets into Lightroom 4.

Macintosh

Please Download and unzip the presets file and open the resulting folder.
In this folder you will find the presets, they are the files with the .lrtemplate extension.
Open Lightroom 4.
Choose Lightroom>Preferences.
There will be a new window that appears. There will be several tabs at the top of the new window. Select the Presets tab.
Click on the button labeled Show Lightroom Presets Folder.
There will be a new Finder window that appears. Choose the folder named Develop Presets. Copy the downloaded folder with your presets into the Develop Presets folder. It is recommended that you copy the preset folder to this new location rather than moving it from its original location.
Simply restart Lightroom and that’s it (your presets can now be found in the Presets section of the Develop module of Lightroom)

Windows
