If the plug-ins are not showing after running the installer, they can be installed into LightRoom manually using the instructions below.
- Please launch Lightroom and go to File > Plug-in Manager
- Click “Add” at the bottom left of the menu
- A finder window will open to browse to the correct folder location (see path below)
- Select the plug-in file and choose “Add Plug-in”
Path: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/LightRoom/Modules
Note: Perfect Photo Suite 8 customers only need to add the “Perfect Photo Suite 8.lrplugin”.
If you are receiving the below error during installation, it is most likely because the Windows System language is set to something other than US/English.

Some Non-English character sets cannot create the ® symbol and this is why the installer is failing.
Goto the Control Panel on the computer:
1) Control Panel-> Region and Language
2) In the Format tab, change the format to “English (United States)”
3) In the Location tab, change the current location to “United States”
4) In the Administrative tab, change system locale to “English (United States)
Once you have installed the software successfully, you can change the Region and Language settings back to your original setting.
This will not affect the operation of our software.
Here are the instructions for uninstalling onOne Software products.
Note: The files used to uninstall the onOne Software products will also remove any presets you have created.
Note: Perfect Layers is not available as a Photoshop Plug-in. This works as a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Apple Aperture, or as a standalone application.
The following instructions show how to access onOne Software from Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Adobe Photoshop Elements (9 or 10)
There is only one way to access the onOne Software product(s) when using Adobe Photoshop Elements. Please make sure to open an image in ‘Edit’ mode and then go to File > Automation Tools. (this is not a video)
It is important to make sure to install the products into either the 32-bit CS5(X86) version or the CS5-64 bit versions of Adobe Photoshop CS5. This option is available in the 4th window of the installation process.
Note: If you already installed the software and it is not showing in Adobe Photoshop CS5 64-bit, please install the product again and make sure to choose the Adobe Photoshop 64-bit option in the window below.
Here is the window in the installation process to choose the version of Adobe Photoshop CS5 (32-bit or 64-bit) you need to choose to install.
You will need to install the software twice if you want to access the products in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Adobe Photoshop CS5 (install a third time if you have Adobe Photoshop Elements).

Before running onOne Software installers or if you are receiving any activation errors please turn off your UAC (user account control), virus protection, and Windows Firewall . These can be turned back on after installing the product. These programs can block installation of onOne Software.
Go to: Start>Control Panel(Classic View)>User Accounts>Turn User Account Control on or off>(Uncheck this box and restart the computer)
Go to: Start>Control Panel>User Accounts and Family Safety>User Accounts>Change User Account Control Settings: You will need to move the slider to the lowest level (never notify) and restart the computer.

Turn off Windows Firewall:
Go to: Start>Control Panel>Windows Firewall>Security: Change Settings, take the radial button out of “on” and click the “off” button, apply and ok.
Disabling Norton Antivirus:
- Launch Norton AntiVirus from Toolbar.
- Click “Status and Settings” in the left column. Click “Security” and then click “Turn off” in the menu.
- Click “Yes” or “OK” in the dialogue box that appears to confirm your choice to turn off the application
If these options are not on your system, do a search on the internet for “How to disable Norton Anitvirus”. There have been many articles written on how to disable the program.
- Right-click on the “Resident Shield” icon located on the right side of the taskbar, then select “Open AVG User Interface.”
- Double-click on “Resident Shield” in the middle of the AVG User Interface window. As an alternative, click on “Tools,” then “Advanced Settings,” and then select “Resident Shield.”
- Uncheck “Resident Shield Active” under the Resident Shield settings section, then click “Save Changes.” This will disable the Resident Shield but keep the Email Scanner and other virus protection features active.
If these options are not on your system, do a search on the internet for “How to disable AVG”. There are many articles written on how to disable the program.
Disabling Kaspersky Antivirus:
1. Right click on the KAV logo on your tool bar
2. Pause protection.
If these options are not on your system, do a search on the internet for “How to disable Kaspersky”. There have been many articles written on how to disable the program.
The license allows for the software to be installed on two computers (either Mac or Windows). If you need to install on more than two computers, please contact our sales department for pricing.
Note: It is recommended that Microsoft Windows users turn off the Anti-Virus software during installation. Once this has been done, please follow the steps below.
Step 1: Please make sure to have all applications closed (for example, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Apple Aperture, and Lightroom)
Step 2: Load your DVD or CD (for download orders, unzip or unstuff the file you downloaded to launch the installer), and follow the installation instructions
Step 3: Once you have completed the installation, please launch the application. (Note the video was done using Perfect Photo Suite, but also applies to the individual products)
The product you have installed and are trying to activate does not match the license you have purchased
We have different versions for each product (both Premium and Standard editions) for most of our software. If the wrong version is installed it will not activate with your license and you will receive the -22 error. The easiest way to correct this, is to verify the version you purchased (check the order receipt) and then uninstall this product. Once this has been uninstalled, please download and install the correct version. If you cannot verify which version you own, please contact customer service.
UPDATE: This error is common with our Perfect Photo Suite 7.x owners. If you purchased Perfect Photo Suite 7.x between September 5, 2012 and December 4 2012, you own the Premium Edition. If you purchased after this time period, please make sure to download the appropriate version. Perfect Photo Suite 7.x is sold in three separate versions (Standard, Lr & Ap, and Premium).
The first thing to check is to make sure Photoshop was closed during installation of the plug-in. If not, simply restart Photoshop. Once Photoshop is open, please go to Window > Extenstions > onOne
This will open the onOne panel giving you access to your product. Just open an image in Photoshop and choose your plug-in from the onOne panel. The onOne panel is only available for the latest versions of our products running in Adobe Photoshop CS4 (Plug-in Suite 5, Genuine Fractals 6 Standard and Professional Edition, PhotoTools 2.5 Standard and Professional Edition, PhotoFrame 4.5 Standard and Professional Edition, PhotoTune 3, FocalPoint 2, and Mask Pro 4.1.7) .
